Every dollar raised through OPP goes directly back to Opendoor School to support the school’s needs. Funds are included in a line-item budget approved by the school’s Finance Department and Church Board and are used for general operating and expenses.

We ask OPP committee members to attend at least 3 of our 5 committee meetings and participate in at least 4 of our 8 events throughout the 2026–27 school year. Participation in the Fund Run is required for all committee members, and you may choose the other three events that fit your schedule and interests. All committee members will be asked to sign a commitment agreement for the 2026–27 school year.

A PTA operates as part of the National PTA organization and follows its structure and guidelines. OPP is an independent parent organization created specifically for Opendoor School. We operate within our school community and work directly with Opendoor’s administration and church leadership to support the needs and priorities of our school.

We’re looking for approximately 10 parents to serve on the OPP committee for the 2026–27 school year, but there will be many other opportunities for parents to get involved throughout the year. If you’re interested in serving on the committee or supporting OPP in other ways, please complete the OPP Interest Form by Monday, August 31. Our first meeting on September 15 will be informational, so you’ll have an opportunity to learn more before making a committee commitment.
